In 2005 Volkswagen introduced the Fox; it replaced the entry level Lupo. The Fox is better equipped and cheaper than the Lupo. As standard the Fox includes twin airbags and ABS as safety features, upon its debut the Fox scored four stars in EuroNCAP’s crash rating.
As the Fox was sold as cheap as possible it came with a long options list so that buyers can specify exactly what they did and did not want, options include:

The Fox is available with 2 petrol engines, a 54 bhp 1.2 litre and a 74bhp 1.4 litre. The 1.2 litre will accelerate the Fox from 0-62mph in 17.4 seconds; the 1.4 litre will do it in 13 seconds – neither breaking any records.
As expected from a city car the Fox has a very light steering but, unlike other super minis the Fox’s ride is very comfortable and it rides bumps and humps very well.
The Fox also comfortably navigates corners and tight bends well.
A new Volkswagen Fox in Kirkcaldy costs from £7,445, for that you get the 1.2 litre 3 door. For £9,100 you can get the top of the range 1.4 litre Urban 3 door.
