The VW Fox is a city car available in the UK since 2005; currently the Fox is available as a 3 or 5 door hatchback. The Fox is listed with a long options list to reduce its base price, therefore letting the customer customise their Fox to their liking. It did come with standard twin airbags and anti-lock braking system for safety measures.

The new Volkswagen Fox in Scotland is available with a choice of two petrol engines, a 1.2 litre three cylinder 54bhp version and a 74bhp 1.4 litre version. Both engines are adequate enough to move the light weight Fox along. The Fox was never designed as a hot hatch, the 0-60 for the smaller engine is over 17 seconds and the larger 1.4 litre does it in 13 seconds.

As it is a city car the steering is very light and nimble, the suspension as a whole provides decent levels of comfort. For a light weight car the Fox corners very well and grips to the tarmac very well.

The only size and weighted related issue is that some of the larger city humps to throw it off course.

Limiting the Fox to just a city car is almost doing it injustice, it holds its own on longer motorway journeys too. Road and wind noise are suppressed from the cabin making it a quiet and smooth ride at the national speed limit.

This stylish city car with the very desirable badge on the front costs only £7,445, the top of the range 1.4 Urban will set you back £9,100. That is a lot of Volkswagen for the money!

This new genre is inspired by the fairytales we all grew up with but for an adult audience. In this good versus evil adaptation the audience is transported to a place that could very well exist. The dark American fantasy tale is presented to us by Rebecca Wang Entertainment. Passion Play film is a first time independent production house that promises to enchant current and future audiences. Sleek filmmaking that flirts with a dangerous edge is supported by a storytelling that does not follow the typical, convential rules of Hollywood.

Heavily staged, the decor is reminiscent of ‘Moulin Rouge’.

This desired effect is to better transport the audience away from the real and deep into this world of fantasy and thrills. Passion Play film is leading the way ahead of similar fairy tale films (‘Red Riding Hood’, ‘Hanna’).

Below the surface, all three films tap into a primal coming of age anxiety that is at the heart of so many fairy tales and the days of reckoning. Red Riding Hood may be more obvious about its source than Passion Play film or Hanna especially as Passion Play focuses on the re-coming-of-age of a man so far past the original social expectations that it is not only better hidden but a fresh change from the traditional main roles being held by children.

Other recent films that take a darker look at childhood tales include ‘Rare Exports : A Christmas Tale’ and we may even stretch the définition a little and include ‘Black Swan’. ‘Hansel and Gretel’ and ‘Snow White’ have also been picked up by production houses and promised for audiences with more coming up.

The RE-invention of fairy tales for the movies is nothing new, this current trend however seeks to cater a smart, fresh, well constructed story that see our protagonists go into the dark and scary woods, circus tent or unknown and come out the other side with an important life lesson with a place in today’s modern society.

The main difference between the Rebecca Wang Entertainment Production, ‘Passion Play film’ and the other Hollywood Blockbusters is the story. This is an original story unlike the not-so-new texts Hollywood is turning to for ‘inspiration’ is not the one we heard at bedtime.

However, as Jennifer is in fact not a virgin when Nikolai murders her, a demonic spirit takes over her body with all her memories still intact after Nikolai and the band leave. Later that evening, Jennifer appears at Needy’s house, covered in blood. She resists attacking a terrified Needy and instead roams into the kitchen, where she tries to eat food from the refrigerator; unable to digest the matter, she vomits a trail of black ferromagnetic fluid. She then leaves the house in a hurry as Needy calls after her. Needy, left frightened and alone, believes something horrible has happened to Jennifer.
